Hey all

Out of the blue I got an email from John Madara (HGL music producer) yesterday saying he owns the master tapes and publishing rights and that he would like me to contact him! Shocked

I rang him earlier, forgeting the 8 hour time difference and spoke to a lady who asked me to call back in 4 or 5 hours. Embarassed

I've since mailed him and left him my number so he can call me. I've never had any contact with this guy before so where he's heard about me from or what he wants I have no idea! Confused

That is awesome. If you run that Hey Good Lookin' Board? That could be why he contacted you. Also, were you involved with the creation of the HGL petition?

I think you might direct him to the email for bakshiwest@aol.com. That is if you don't have the resources to help him with whatever he's attempting with the soundtrack. Again... Awesome that he contacted you.

Yeah, I run the board and (ran, hint) the petition...

John called me back and we talked for about 10 minutes. What a nice, friendly and humble fellow he is Cool

Wish I'd recorded the conversation some how because it's one I never want to forget!

He was calling to thank me for my interest, as he'd seen my name in various places on the net and to tell me....

IT'S COMING OUT!!!! Very Happy

He's just about to start the process and has a couple of record companies already in mind.

Dreams can come true, I'll be getting mine free in the post, hopefully signed! Wink

I already own all the Bakshi film soundtracks that have been released so far (including American Pop on LP), so just so you know, I'll be eagerly awaiting Hey Good Lookin' as well!!

I love the choice of music when Vinnie and Crazy are causing a ruckus, drinking, smoking, vandalizing, and dumping toilet paper on people etc.
I gotta get that soundtrack! Very Happy
