Since I brought this on DVD a few days ago...I've been watching it over and over...
...And I don't wanna have 2 spoil the ending 4 anyone here who has not seen it yet, but I have 2 say...I've been particularly obsessive with the ending scenes...thank GOD 4 DVDs...because I was so impressed with the visual aspect of the last two scenes, that right after watching the entire film, I have a tendency of playing them back again and again.
...The way the animation is cut and the audio effects in the last animated scene are extremely artistic and above average...4 a nightmarish effect 2 make a point about our reality and the artist's mind I guess....I just feel Ralph deserves a hell of a lot 'o kudos 4 that.
...Anybody else here feel that way about it? I just felt it had the BEST ending I've seen in a film in a very long time. |

It was definitely interesting...It also left me wanting more...Like, it ends in a way you'd never expect it would, just all of a sudden like that...All the loose ends are never tied...It goes against the "everythings resolved principle" that Disney always used...Definitely the most bizarre scene in the Bakshi catalog, I'd say...Everything in the movie was just a doped up nightmare, yeah...very cool. _________________ "rrrHUN!"

The whole film needs 2 b watched 4 that ending 'cause I don't wanna encorage peeking...and not 2 mention, the reffering 2 life as a pinball machine thing was genious...
...I must say, this film reminds me a lot of Spike Lee's style in many ways...I can think of a lot of similarities here in many of Lee's past films.
I wonder if Spike ever knew about Ralph...I just find they seem 2 have a bit in common artisticly...that "thing" they do with their films, the only way I can describe as the cynical "widescreen" view of society under a microscrope. |

| On IMDB, it says that Spike Lee drew alot of his artistic visions from films by Ralph Bakshi. "Heavy Traffic" wasn't used as the example, though, but instead "Coonskin". |
