I'm a fan of Tolkein's novels and i thought PJ's version was more true to Tolkein's vision even though Bakshi did an ok if uncomplete job with the film. Gollum by Andy is better than Bakshi's.

Well Bakshi's was certainly uncomplete, which imo is a tragedy. I wonder what it would take to convince him to finish it. It's too good not to finish.
