**UPDATE 3/23/06**
ASIFA-Hollywood Animation Archive Needs Assistance
I will award 10 pts to anyone who answers the Archive's call to action.
Email, Donate, Post a *fact checked please* bio on one of the artists without a bio.
Then simply send my the info after you've submitted the help to them.
And tell Stephen Worth the Ralph Bakshi Message Board sent'ya. *Not that that would help you in any way shape or form...
**UPDATE 8/22/05**
Well, I've gotten a few more submissions to Heavy Traffic. However, some of the earlier ones were spam on other forums, and I couldn't given points for that, so only the newest submission by Joemation has been added since the last update.
Now's the time to promote, but if you don't feel like doing anything right now with this project, simply bookmark this page for future return. You might find that you are more willing to promote Bakshi Prod when Last Days of Coney Island is in theaters.
**UPDATE 2/17/05**
Ok, the specifics have been decided. I will take submissions of iHeavy Traffici tasks to my email wedadopest@hotmail.com . Every few months Iill update the iScream AtiEm!i Section of the Fan Club. This section will show the points accumulated by members of the Fan Club. Youill have to do at least one task every 4 months to maintain membership.
You may not duplicate tasks, unless the task itself is a repetitive one. In other words. You can do as many (different) separate forum posts as your like, but only one for each message board or website. This goes for all the separate tasks. Only the first task has a real reward right now (while supplies last), but hopefully with member support, weill get some other cool rewards for these tasks. You guys wanted to help Mr. Bakshi, hereis your chance.
**UPDATE**
Hi Members of Bakshi Message Board Land:
ANNOUNCING HEAVY TRAFFIC - The Ralph Bakshi Fan Organization
I had an idea, seeing that there is no fanclub/organized fan support of Mr. Bakshi's work,
I wanted to start something like this.
For now, I just want the names of those who would like to join, if this ever got started officially.
Just post and you will be counted.
If Chris or Victoria/Admin doesn't like this post, I'll delete it and rethink the idea. **Update Victoria says I can take this idea where I want. They might assist later if we show enough support. **
Also, if anyone has suggestions or comments for how to run this, let me know in this thread.
(I'm basing my thoughts off of the Animation Show Underground www.animationshow.com/underground.html )
The first Task/Duty for Ralph Bakshi Fanclub members is listed in this thread:
http://ralphbakshi.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=396
I'd like to work something in for those of you who have and will sign/create petitions too. I'm not quite sure how to work that though.
I would also like to keep track, with a score board, of who's doing the most for the club. If you do happen to send the Bakshi Shop an emial, copy it and send it to me through a PM or emial and I'll keep track. (This might be temporary, if someone else takes over this task)
Well, I guess that's it for now. I'll post some more tasks when they come to mind.
Sincerely,
Brother Rabbit _________________ Bakshi Media Page | Bakshi Photos | Bakshi's Official MySpace

Dear Rabbit
I would absolutely want a Bakshi Fan Club. Its way overdue. By the way, I am still going to make sure that Ralph's work is shown at every animation convention i can get to. I along with my animation professor(god bless im) were able to get away with showing a Bakshi film in Animation History Class last year so maybe I can strike twice. Animation superstars cannot be ignored. Ralph Bakshi is the most straightfoward animator in American Art. He must be included in Animation History. No Bakshi-No Simpsons No Bakshi-No Ren and Stimpy No Bakshi-No Duckman No Bakshi-Definitely no SOUTH PARK. I call today's animation critics INGRATES. Mostly every adult oriented cartoon show on network tv has been influenced by Bakshi. Kids aren't watching The Simpsons-they are watching Bakshi fans. Even a character on The Simpsons was modelled after Ralph so at least they give him a little credit. But shit man, they should pay Mr. Bakshi if they are going to rip his work off.
Bless you Brother Rabbit

I'm just wondering has Bakshi ever done a convention of his own? I think one of those is long overdue. _________________ "rrrHUN!"

So, I already emialed Victoria about this idea.
| Victoria Yudis wrote: | My very first thought is holy shit - yes
My second thought is - In no way should we call it a fan club - it can and should be bigger and have it's own individual, creative, productive life than that - And Bakshi would die if he thinks he has a "fan club" I think |
I agree with her here, and I think that "Heavy Traffic" would be the best name for a "Fan Club" like experience at the Bakshi Website.
Tell me what you guys think.
Also, on a related side note, check out this awesome promo I found in the Wizards Role Playing Game manual (c) 1992:
I just found this today, so it wasn't my inspiration for the currently "In Production" Heavy Traffic fan club, but I am intrigued that it was ever created and surprised it would have been scrapped. (Victoria and I will make it work, plus extend it to all Bakshi's works, and benefit both Mr. Bakshi and the members of the club, so join as soon as the opportunity arrises [probly a couple months though]) _________________ Bakshi Media Page | Bakshi Photos | Bakshi's Official MySpace

i was wondering about this to.. or if not an entire convention even a simple "Bakshi Booth" at a # of conventions in diff. regions would be very cool and reason enough for me to go.. _________________

Had to make a newer post here to redirect everyone to the first post in this thread. I've added to the tasks, and added a section called "Preach At'Em" where the "Heavy Traffic" members have their current points listed.
Hope You Guys Enjoy This,

Thanks MCPlatinum and Michael for all the assistance and input you've offered up for the Bakshi Board.
We all appreciate it.
I've given out some more points in the Heavy Traffic Fan Organization.
If any of you in Bakshi Land want to send in a banner or post on some other forums about the Bakshi Board (No Spamming Please; Follow Each Board's Rules) go to the link in the first post of this thread for instructions.
Thanks Guys,

I took this text and ran it through an online translation service. Here are the results (it's a bad translation, but it should give you folks an idea of what the guy's saying):
| Quote: | | I would like much Ralph Bakshi who the Cinemagia deliverer who launched dvd of Fritz the cat had the copyrights of its other films, mainly Heavy traffic and would like that HT was available here for location in Brazil and that the film was directed for landlord GPW. |
