Update: (5/4/05): Two full episodes + trailer ads of "Spicy City" ("Mano's Hands" and "Sex Drive"). Those two episodes were the only two that Bakshi directed. (Bakshi executively produced the entire "Spicy City" series for HBO - 7/11/97 - 8/22/97.)

Hey MC.
I finally got a chance to watch Tattertown and Manos and let me tell you...
You are a credit to the Bakshi Board. I was hoping to get a copy of Tattertown (one of the most memorable films of my youth) and your files have saved me. I really would like to get a legitimate copy of Tattertown someday... tee hee...
But hopefully that day will come.
Anyway... Tattertown brought me almost to tears. I couldn't believe how vividly the memories jumped back into my head from my youth. The file was near perfect internet quality and it didn't skip at any point. I watched all four files and they were excellent.
Sincerely,
Brother Rabbit _________________ Bakshi Media Page | Bakshi Photos | Bakshi's Official MySpace

I went totally nuts the instant I saw that the official "StreetFight" trailer (something I've been eagerly awaiting for several months) and deleted scenes were available for download. In fact, I was so excited that I almost started hyperventalating, lol!
The trailer itself is definately the best I've ever seen (and that goes for both animated and live action films). The deleted scenes were definately worth the wait, and I didn't even care that the dialogue was in German. I swear, the scene where Preacher Man hits his son and then feels so guilty about it that he starts to cry just about broke my heart! I was like "Aww, poor Fox needs a hug!" (Yeah, I know, but I have a tendency to get very "emotionally attached" to all my favorite characters.)
I laughed right out loud at the "brothel" scene with the cop and his daughter: "Marigold!" *gasp* "Da-dee?!" It was just so cute and hilarious at the same time!
From what I gathered from the relationship between the gas station attendent and the girl, he had something sexual in mind. Then when Preacher Man started fighting the guy I was all like "Yeah, Fox, kick his ass!" I really get excited when one of my favorite characters defends a girl from a really creepy guy. And, Preacher Man/Fox is definately what I call a real lady's man!

Hey McPlatinum!
I recently found the Theatrical Trailer for Lord of the Rings and had it converted to digital format. If you're up for hosting it, I'd love to forward you a .mov file (once I compress it) for posting here, and if you want to add it to IMDB that'd be fine too.
I have two little extras that I'm holding onto for the Fan Special Edition release, but this trailer is a really nice one that I think people will want to see. Good use of Orson Welles and the - oh what's the machine called where you can manipulate film footage. Gah! My film days are now a decade behind me!
Let me know!

Wow, McPlatinum, thanks so much for your work. I am indebted to you for posting Tattertown & the Coonskin clips were fantastic. I doubt I'm ever going to get to see these in English, but the German version still made my day. Thanks again!
One question: do you have a copy of "This Ain't Bebop" by any chance? It's going for $16 on Ebay when I find it, & it's obviously a bootleg. I've been dying to see it for years. Again, thanks for posting these files, & keep up the great work!
Peace! |

Brother Rabbit *has* "This Ain't Bebop," but he doesn't have the equipment to digitize it to the internet... Victoria also has a copy that she transferred to dvd - she might have handed it over to Scott to make video clips, I'm not sure? I'll check with Victoria and if video clips are available, maybe she can upload them to my FTP server? |
